Descriptions

The Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique (ENSP) was created on June 4, 1971 to train technical staff and to develop its research to support the development of the country. Two types of training had been put in place: one called a short training course lasting three years, culminating with a diploma in construction engineer- ing, and the other known as a five-year long training course sanctioned By a diploma of design engineer. The specialties originally were: in short training: Electronics, Electromechanics and Automation and Civil Engineering and in long training Civil Engineering, Electromechanics. Since 1991, the NPHS has stopped with training and has retained only long training. The five training courses at the NPHS are conducted over two cycles. The first two-year cycle provides students with basic education in mathematics, physical science and engineering. The second cycle, also known as the three-year specialty course, trains students in the trade. Updated (2015) the ENSP has trained more than 3,300 engineers. Each year, the ENSP organizes the entrance examination for level I and the entrance examination for level III. These new admissions contribute to the renewal of the competing workforce by 15% for the third year of 85% for the first year. Students admitted to the level I entrance examination are monitored in the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences (MSP), which covers the first and second years of the course. At the end of these two years, there is the problem of the orientation of pupils admitted in the third year to the other Departments for the second phase of training for the profession of Engineer.
