Kherson National Technical University (KhNTU) is a subject of higher education of Ukraine, which implements programs for training and retraining of specialists, as well as performs research work for enterprises, organizations, engineering, food and light industry, technical and economic cybernetics, electronics , management, economics, computer science, computer engineering, etc. KhNTU is an educational institution that is in constant creative search and in recent years has managed to reach a qualitatively new level of development. The National Technical University is a modern powerful scientific and educational complex, the history of which dates back to 1959, when in Kherson to meet the staffing needs of the largest in Europe Kherson Cotton Mill, the first of which was then just put into operation, was created educational - consultation point of the Kyiv Technological Institute of Light Industry. In the early 50's of last century in the region and in Kherson large-scale construction began. Kakhovka HPP and grand irrigation systems were built. In a short time, the second city of regional subordination Nova Kakhovka was built and the first in the south of Ukraine - Novokakhovka Electric Machine-Building Plant was put into operation. In the regional center were built industrial giants - a shipyard, reconstructed and expanded plants. Petrovsky and "Electromash", a plant of cardan shafts appeared on the site of the plant "Agricultural Spare Parts".
