Created in 1964, by decree 134/64 of 24th April 1964, the Higher normal school - Kouba Algiers- is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. with legal personality and financial autonomy in accordance with decree n° 245/81 dated 05/09/1981. Our shool is located Kouba town on the capital hieghts. In terms of mission, our institution is mainly responsible to train teachers for the benefit of National Education sector (High schools and colleges). It also carries out research activities in various fields through its 14 research laboratories approved by the ministry of research (MESRS) since its creation. With an excellent reputation, our school has been appreciated by other academic institutions and by the ever-increasing demand for the arrival of the best young graduates. Our institution is a strategic bridge between the MESRS and the Ministry of National Education, in fact, thousands of teachers from the National education sector have studied at our school . For example, the number of graduated from our school for the period between 1983 and 2015 reached, 16381 graduates from all specialties: Mathematics, physics, biologicalsciences, computer science and musical science.
