The University of Sciences and Techniques of Masuku was created in 1986 in accordance with the provisions of Law N ° 7/85 and by the transfer, from Libreville to Franceville, of the Faculty of Sciences, of the National Superior School of Engineers de Libreville (ENSIL), now École polytechnique de Masuku (EPM). It was financed by the Gabonese Investment Fund with the support of the Saudi Development Fund, the Islamic Development Bank and the French Republic. This university complex was inaugurated on December 30 by the late President of the Republic, Head of State His Excellency EL Hajj Omar Bongo ONDIMBA
