The Guillermo Brown National University (UNaB) was created by Law 27,193 of the National Congress in November 2015 and begins operating in August 2019. It was created to guarantee the social right to higher education and train professionals who promote social, economic and productive of the region and the country. The University must play an important role in social construction and development, together with the actions of other public spheres, civil society organizations, the productive sector. To this end, UNaB proposes to: • Provide various undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses, developing teaching strategies that promote the use of innovative technologies, methodologies and learning strategies. • Ensure conditions for the entry, permanence and graduation of our students by promoting effective training actions and ensuring the development of specific skills of professional and academic discourse. • Train graduates with a professional profile committed to democratic values, social and productive development that guarantee the quality of life of the local, regional and national community. • Generate scientific, technological, artistic and cultural knowledge through research and development activities prioritizing the axes of local, regional and national problems. • Integrate the knowledge and initiatives of the society of the context in which it is inscribed, to enrich our academic perspective, increase creativity and seek transformative actions. • Contribute to the development of culture, memory, identity and tangible and intangible cultural heritage, at local, regional and national levels. All these objectives are part of a work committed to the community, promoting equal opportunities in terms of gender, age, cultural identity, social origin, language, religion, disability, etc. and ensure policies that promote social and institutional habits of non-discrimination.
