The Philips College was founded in 1978 with the help of the then Minister of Education of the U.K., the honorable Gerry Fowler, Yiannis Koutsakos, former Chairman of the University of Cyprus, Takis Evdokas, a well-known Psychiatrist, and Philippos Constantinou, a professional Accountant who became the first Principal of the College.
