Founded in 1956, Université Ez-Zitouna (Ez-zitouna University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Tunis (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique, Tunisie (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia), Université Ez-Zitouna (UZ) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational Tunisian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Université Ez-Zitouna (UZ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
